Calling All Governance Teams!
This is a defining moment in education. With the expiration of relief funds, mounting culture wars, anti-DEI pressures, and the lasting impact of the COVID-19 era, governance teams are navigating the complexities of public education. At the very center of these intersecting challenges stand our school board members and superintendents—charged with making critical decisions every day that impact school district culture, student outcomes, and staff well-being.
Now, more than ever, clear guidance is needed. Partnerships with the community are imperative. That's why we're launching the "Impactful School Boards" Regional Boards Network—a powerful opportunity for governance teams to grow, reflect, and lead with clarity and courage.

Testimonials:
"I've had the pleasure of working and learning with Nicole Anderson and Deborah Keys Write since September 2019. I attended an Equity Cohort through CSBA and trustees from other school districts. After completing the year-long cohort, I was compelled to ask my school board to approve a year-long partnership to facilitate Equity Workshops. The year-long process empowered my fellow trustees to learn about Equity through a governance lens and build capacity. We were able to translate that knowledge into the creation/approval of an Equity Board policy, a Superintendent Council on Equity and Anti-racism. This work facilitated by Nicole and Deborah is translating into important system changes which will impact Vista Unified School District Scholars in powerful ways. I am grateful for our collaboration with Nicole and Deborah as we continue to work to actualize our Scholars’ potential.” -Martha Alvarado, Board Trustee, Vista Unified School District (October 2020)
"Vista Unified School Board has had a strong relationship with Nicole Anderson & Associates Consulting. If we are to make systemic change in our public education system, we need to start making policies and governing with an equity lens. Our Board is now more laser focused and committed to self growth because our students deserve the best. Thank you Nicole and Deborah for providing those critical tools to help us improve the conditions for all our students at Vista USD." -Cipriano Vargas, Board President, Vista Unified School District

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What forms of payment are accepted?
Credit card, checks, and purchase orders are accepted.
2. Who should attend the network sessions as part of the governance team?
Governance teams include 2 board members and the superintendent.
3. Can you register a staff member who is not the Superintendent?
It is highly recommended that the Superintendent be present with the board members as this regional network is uniquely designed to create sacred space for school board members and superintendents. However, if necessary, the Superintendent can send a designee from their executive cabinet to represent them during a session if they are unable to attend.
4. Can you transfer your registration to another person?
Yes, registration can be transferred to any person who is part of the school governance team. (i.e. board member to board member, superintendent to assistant superintendent)
5. What if a registrant can't attend all four sessions?
It is highly recommended that registrants hold sacred space on their calendars to attend all 4 sessions as this is critical to making connections to the content, collaboration, and planning activities. In planning registration, it is recommended that school boards consider which 2 board members will be able to commit to all 4 sessions.
6. What happens if a registrant misses a session? Is there a make up session?
It is recommended that registrants communicate with the network facilitators to develop a plan in the event that a registrant has to miss a session. While there are no make up sessions offered, registrants may receive recommended tasks or resources to support their participation in the network.
