Building Capacity of Executive & Educational Leadership

In order to close educational gaps and disparities seen in school and organizational systems, institutions, and societal structures, it is essential that leaders build capacity to shift the paradigm of a system that was historically not designed to yield successful outcomes for all stakeholders.

We have designed a rich and comprehensive program for teams and individual leaders to effectively implement and sustain this transformational work.

Whether you are a leader of a governance team, school district/site, city government, non-profit organization, industry sector, or just passionate about the work ......we have a plan for you!

Our overarching focus is providing a safe space for leaders to learn and engage in the development of deep belief systems and the understanding of differences that empowers leaders to be proactive and responsive to the unique needs of the communities and stakeholders they serve.

Leadership Framework Overview

6 Phases of Leadership: A Blended Framework grounded in Practical and Theoretical Concepts to impact Decision-Making
Nicole Anderson Consulting 2018

The Leadership Framework includes 6 phases of leadership that educators and executive leaders can use to guide decisions. The framework embodies a sequential, yet ongoing journey that is grounded in an inside-out approach to addressing school and organizational challenges. These Include the following:

1. Deepen Belief Systems: Reflect upon one’s own social-cultural identity including beliefs and biases that impact mindset
2. Understand Diversity: Seek to understand and value other cultures through storytelling and relationship building in order to expand the leadership lens in personal and professional life
3. Empower Oneself: Become familiar with research-based strategies, language, and concepts to deepen awareness in order to address disparities. This includes building capacity of others through ongoing professional learning as well as leveraging of alliances to lead collective work and create a cultural shift.
4. Be Proactive and Responsive: Develop an impact action plan as well as examine current policy, practice, and data that reveal stakeholders who are not being served well in the system. During this phase, begin to utilize strategies learned with an anticipation of the barriers to success for stakeholders being served.
5. Serve the Needs of the Community: Strategically implement impact action plan steps which can include the development or revision of policy, innovative allocation of resources, as well as a complete shift in practice.
6. Close Educational Gaps/Address Disparities: Celebrate growth as well as monitor and adjust the impact action plan as unique needs evolve in order to sustain impact on disparities and educational gap closure.
